Welcome

I am so pleased that you have visited my website

I am a teacher, leader and coach who is passionate about helping everyone (young or old) to find their voice. I have had a breadth of experience in education – from class teacher to school leader and currently work at a large junior school in the South East of England (six-form intake). I teach Year 4 full-time and am also the Year 4 Leader, Coaching Lead, one of the English Champions and the PSHE lead too. In June 2020, I was made a Fellow by the Chartered College of Teaching – an achievement that I am very proud of and in March 2023 I achieved my Level 5 Diploma in coaching alongside an apprenticeship in professional coaching.

I believe strongly in equity for all and empowering others. We all have a voice but only by listening to each other and working together can we make a difference. I really do believe that together we can change the future for our children and the future generations. I believe that coaching really supports that – if you want to find out more about that then visit my coaching page.

In August 2020, I started the ‘Tiny Voice Talks’ podcast. I wanted to create a podcast that would give a platform to the quieter voices in education and cover subjects that really matter and that, as educators, we need to know about. Tune in to hear me chat to teachers, leaders, coaches and advisors about what they are doing in the field of education and how this is impacting on the young people in our classrooms.

In Autumn 2022, the ‘Tiny Voices Talk’ book was published – this again celebrates the quieter voices in education. Tiny Voices Talk: Education, engagement and empowerment is a book full of tips, insights and practical approaches pooled from little-known educators with big ideas and all geared towards making a difference for your pupils in your setting. It is available here.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog and remember to follow me on here, like what you see and of course find me on X @Toriaclaire
